Chemistry is underrated. Sure Hedman on a team with EK sounds magical. Could just as easily end up needing to be on their own pair because they don't work together.

Methot EK was tried and proven

Agreed. The issue was usually what was behind them and the stark drop off in quality D men.

It’s cool that you guys liked him. Was a warrior and never took a night off. I’m guilty of liking players that weren’t fantastic players too

He was a great complementary defensive player being fast and strong. If we had a better dman, I think we would still pair Methot with Karlsson. Karlsson won his first Norris before Methot on the team, so he'd have adapted to any player so I probably would prefer a more offensive player to be really threatening with Karlsson on offense.
