He isn't missed nor reason they are 1-2

Ekeler has been more then fine as replacement

38 rushes
160 yds (4.2 avg)
2 TD's

19 rec
208 yds (10.9 Y/R)
2 TD's

Good on Chargers though for standing ground and calling out his bluff

Hell baby
Him not being there isn’t the reason they’re 1-2 but it’s damn sure gonna help them now that he’s back

Hopefully they don't just hand him his starting job back. Like others have said he's a good player but they're not 1-2 because they lacked an RB.
He'll be helpful in grinding out tough yards late in games which will hopefully help them hold on to leads as well as goal line situations where Ekeler and Jackson aren't as comfortable.

Probably misses playing and with Eckler's emergence, they will likely let him leave in free agency so he will still get the contract he wants.

Were they really standing up to him or just being their usual cheap selves?

Reports are the Chargers offered $10-$11m/year. Though I don’t think details of how many years or how much guaranteed was made public.

On the surface that figure at least appears to be in a reasonable ballpark for Gordon—would make him the 5th highest paid RB behind Elliott, Gurley, Bell and David Johnson.
