That's why I said "close enough". In a normal case, the Top 10 in scoring would be something like: 105, 100, 95, 94, 92, 91, 90, etc. Not so that the winner has close enough to twice as many points as some of the Top 10 scorers. In other words, McDavid had a completely exceptional season, since he was far better than even the majority of the Top 10.
