I'm assuming that the knowledge of concussions did evolve since the 70s and the exams are done by 3rd party neurological specialists rather than team doctors.

Do you have knowledge to the contrary?

I know that internet access has made everyone an expert on all things medical, from virology to head trauma, but I think it's still more prudent to defer to the actual credentialed experts (I am not one).
I'm pretty much a Gynecologist thanks to the Internet. :thumbu:

Kadri got 3 games a few years ago in the playoffs for a hit that wasn't nearly as violent as a cross check to the head.

Florida is a really dirty team. They play just like Boston. They get away so so much interreference it enrages me. Make no mistake the coaches teach them to interfere just enough to get away with it. I'm pissed that Toronto never does it, especially in the playoffs when they allow even more of it. It's a big advantage for them.

He should have gotten disciplined by the league for sure. As for the Leafs, every game is a do-or-die situation so payback will have to wait until next season.

As long as the Leafs remember and that payback does come in October, I'm okay with them focusing on winning right now instead of retribution and someone getting a major or more as a result.
That's true. But, I would hope that if we ever find ourselves in a position where we are about to lose the series, Baldie Bennet and Rogain Radko deserve some heavy retribution. They can move on to round three but if I had my way neither one would be eating solid foods for a while.

Leafs unfortunately get punished severely for any attempt at playing hard nosed hockey. I guess it's because Toronto is under the media microscope. Although this wouldn't explain why when our players get run the media doesn't give a shit. It's truly enraging cuz I would love if our team played this same style, they just can't get away with it for some very unknown reason.

Between Bunting getting cut and what Gudas did… it’s obvious how unfair it is.

Still, we can do this one game at a time.

Knies should play if he is cleared. His absence has been so noticeable. Hard to believe that he has made that level of an impact this early on into his career, but there has been a very clear void without him in the lineup.

That said, he needs to be 1000000% fully cleared. Zero trace of symptoms. Returning to play this round at the risk of his long term health is absolutely not worth it AT ALL. He is way too big of a piece for our future to be rushing him back into the lineup.

But I do trust the Leafs medical staff to make the right call on that.

I heard a great line yesterday.

Yes the Bunting play should have been a 4 minute penalty but the ref passing the puck off his skates to Willy for the goal on that 2 minute penalty is the Karma we needed.
