Panthers forked up the money because they didn’t let him on the plane to the Giants, who I’m pretty sure would’ve done the same thing.

The giants are losers. Gettleman is a bum.

Jason Garrett!!!!

so many years of top draft picks should have been enough to get to the playoffs let alone .500. This org is in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes and they will likely pass.

this Giants ownership is lost with a dinosaur making the decisions.

if the Giants wanted Rhule, then why wasn’t Rhule in the Giants building 1st? Why were they taking their time? Arrogance or patience?

A bit of an overpayment there for a guy who has never coached in the NFL. Wonder how it will pan out for him.

I mean... a lot of Giants fans don't want to hear it, but the main reason they have been so bad for so long despite having tons of high draft picks is that they refused to consider changing QBs, even though Eli at his very best was very average ten years ago. You can get all of the nice draft picks and a wonderful running back, but if your QB is a bottom half QB, you're not making the playoffs on a regular basis.

If you want to be mad at the organization about anything, it should be hitching their wagon to Eli for the past eight or nine seasons.

Gruden deal doesn't look so bad now :naughty:

Good for Rhule for cashing in when his value is at an all time high.

I'm guessing Marty Hurney's days are numbered, Rhule definitely gets Belichick level power with a contract that lucrative
Smart call to take the once in a lifetime offer. $60 million guaranteed unless you do something absolutely stupid conduct wise.

Offer likely comes with control over picking his GM, something likely the Giants were not going to do. See how it works out for him.

So, we are now down to Cleveland without a HC.

NFC South is pretty wide open. Saints - Brees is 40 so getting close to the end for him. Winston is a 30-30 guy for TDS/INT, and Ryan hasn't been the same in the past 3 seasons since winning MVP.

See what they decide to do at QB.
