Zuccarello was for a long time my favourite Ranger. Henrik certainly is a guy I admire but Zuccs always filled a special storyline for me.
This is one ex-Ranger I care enough about to keep tabs on and care about their future success . 95% of the time, when a player is traded, I give a wave like Queen Elizabeth and a nod of the head, and that's it.

No more announcers mispronouncing his name :(

Although, we'll always have LaGrecca calling Bjugstad "Bjorgstrand"

Can't make a Zucc appreciation thread with out dropping this in here.

I was probably the most vocal about moving him over the last few seasons, but when thinking about his Rangers tenure, thats the play that I'll remember.

Good luck Zucc, now sign in Dallas!

That has to be one of the best passes I’ve ever seen. My jaw was on the floor when that happened in real time.

I’m going to miss you Zucc :(

My biggest concern with bringing Zucc back is the length of the contract. And then inevitable clauses.

4x4? Ok.

3x5? Sure.

It’s the 5+ year term with a NMC/NTC that worries me.

A lot of fans say he should've been extended, when the return was only a 2nd and a 3rd. They got a point there.

So I don't see him sign here again, because I feel like the relationship between him and the management is not the best anymore. But you never know, Zucc is Zucc, and wounds do heal.

Btw...as I promised, when Zucc goes to a new team, so do I. Guess I'm gonna have to buy myself a cowboy hat and head for Dallas. So this is my last post here, interesting bunch of fans on this board. Goodbye folks.

I wish every player that wore a Rangers jersey wore it as proudly as Zucc did.

His hustle, heart, tenacity and talent will be missed here.

One of the easiest guy to root for. He went from a undrafted and undersized underdog, to our leading scoring for consecutive seasons.

Thanks for the memories, Zuccarello. It was a privilege watching you represent our blueshirts over the last nine seasons.

Goooooo Dallas!!!!

Maybe in a few years, after his big deal with Dallas runs out, he comes back for a last run with the boys. I could see it :)

A lot of people believed in Zucc before I did. Not many liked him as much once he fully arrived than I did.

Rebuilds are painful.

Yeah they are.

The end result can be enjoyable. But the process itself is like drilling a hole through your stomach.

All UFAs July 2019. I honestly think a Hagelin, Brassard, Zuccarello line would make the best 3rd line in the league with that chemistry. We're talking more chemistry than 1C Boo Nieves and Chris Kreider. Sign them all for identical term/money contracts with the understanding that they will exclusively play on a line together. Get it done Gorton

I'm sure I caught Zucc on debut in my first and only Rangers game in person. It was that stupidly long shootout that we inevitably lost against Tampa.

Thanks Zucc, I hope he comes back at some point. If there's one guy I would pay overs for it's Zucc.

A 2nd and a 3rd AND no more Webster?

Deal seems a lot better now. ;)

Seriously, though, I'll miss the guy. I hope he signs here this summer because he's always fun to watch (I'll be watching Dallas games for sure) and we're not doing anything any time soon anyway unless Gorton's plan is to open up the checkbook this summer and pursue Panarin, etc...

Great Ranger and end of an era.

Perfectly put. Zucc stings, far more than many who we have seen depart. Dallas is getting an amazing player when you see some of the prices paid for rentals.

My head says hopefully he signs in Texas to give us a brilliant trade, too. Heart says he signs with us this summer and we get a couple of nice picks to add for the upcoming draft.

The only jersey I've bought since Brian Leetch was traded had 36 on the back. Thanks, Zucc...you'll always look better in the Broadway hat than a Stetson.

Thanks for all the fond memories and highlights. May you find your Samwise in Dallas, use your Sting against Western foes and bRING the Stars to the SCF. We will watch the legend grow.
