Mason stopped 38 out of 40 tonight in the win over the Rangers. That puts the Rangers very close to being out of the top 8 in the East.

Which would be great if they somehow won the lottery.

I'm hoping for a Rangers play-off failure for that reason. I know the chances are slim but, as the saying goes, "you can't win a lottery without buying a ticket".

I know it's early, I know there's zero pressure right now but he's looked every part the goalie we need. Physically he's extremely capable and his stick handling is much better than anyone we've had in years.

Like you said. It's too early. I even think it's too early to say Bobrovsky has regenerated, we've been burned by one and dones before.

Even if Leighton was regenerated, unlike Mason and Bob who played great before suffering a drop in play, Leighton returning to playing at his top level only brings him up to a very mediocre backup.
