Seem to recall you've been pretty vocal on the topic of goalie prospects so far down in the VHL and MHL not having much of a track record for success, relating to Peksa and Akhtyamov. I suppose the positive is at least they're getting developmental reps, and it remains to be seen what they can develop into.
The thing I'm personally not that high on Woll on is he's only played something like 60+ AHL level games since coming out of school 3 years ago. His development curve feels very gradual and flat like we've not seen him put together a string of AHL work that would suggest he's ready for bigger and better things.

Would be great if he can play his way into contention for a world junior roster spot.
Well he hasn't really been a part of the hockey Canada program so he likely would need do double his production to get significant traction in that regard.

He was at summer camp before the World Juniors this year. Blazers forward Minten added to roster for Hockey Canada’s 2023 National Junior Team Summer Development Camp – WHL Network.
Yeah minten is a good candidate for that 13th forward role player position for canada

It's actually his first realistic year of eligibility. 17yr olds are rare.
The only player his age or younger on this most recent WJC team was Bedard. Everyone else was at least a year older than Minten.

He is eligible for this year and next and for obvious reasons he'll be behind the 8 ball being one of the youngest players in his draft class but I have high hopes his role could elevate very quickly If stankoven sticks in the NHL if that happens his usage and numbers will explode
They are looking to totally close the boarder, hell technically speaking the boarder is closed to him right now because he is of military age, which is basically if you have a heartbeat you can be drafted
I'm more worried about Ho-Sang he legitimately needs to get out of there while he still can

He might make it based on intangibles and defensive play like the Goat did with team Canada as a shutdown and faceoff specialist.

I would assume unless Minten really blows up this year he likely is left off the team and next year will be his shot as a 19 year old. Hopefully he makes a push though!

Well, they decided they wanted to go for a cup and Kuemper is definitely better than Samsonov at this point.
Will have to see who is better between Vitachek and Samsonov but they went with the guy who played better.
^ That’s a good thing. Voit’s not going to be ready for a few years. Let him dominate in the ohl. Wished they did the same for kressler who needs to develop his offense.

They did do that to Kressler. They even did it for Voit, but they needed a body due to some injuries.
I think Kressler suffered an injury in his one OHL preseason game though. He is really having a tough time staying healthy, which sucks because he is a solid player when he is playing.
Whoops my bad. I assumed they didn’t recall kressler because i didn’t see his name on flint roster.

Feds tell Canadian hockey players with KHL teams in Russia, Belarus to get out
Canadians continue to play hockey for Kontinental Hockey League teams in Russia and Belarus despite the Canadian government’s warning to get out of those countries.
Minten should get anywhere between 75-85 points this season. Stankoven will be back, so number 2 center duties.
Funny idea for russian prospect development: All teams playing against kunlun or any bad team must use at least 3 U20 prospects and have play at least 15 minutes.
