I don't think its serious, they are cautious with the prospects on the Marlies, the hit didn't look too bad, might have hurt his shoulder?

Worst time for an injury though. WJC is in 3 weeks, he’ll either still be injured, or he could go in cold. Was playing some high level hockey when he went down.

Whats the cut off date? Is there a benefit for delaying it?

You get to give them a signing bonus of around 90ishk, so maybe you use it as a carrot to make sure the guy keeps working?
Maybe you do it farther down the road as a reward?

I.e "Kid, were gonna give you an ELC. The size of the signing bonus depends how well you play this year. We will see you the month before you go back into the draft. If you did really well, its 90, if you did as well as your doing now without progress its 70, and if you have taken a step back ya dont get a contract"

5 goals on 19 shots, yiked. Subban up in the lineup has been really bad 2 games in a row now. Not sure if he's playing top pairing, but last game he was for some of it.

Thanks. Too bad we couldn't get him back.

He may still hit waivers. I still think the deadline is Christmas or the New Year. If Pickard or McElhinney (now mostly hoping for Pickard) do not hit waivers, the Marlies will probably explore trading pieces like Jooris, Subban and McAdam for a goalie and top 4 RD upgrade. Both are necessary. Pittsburgh and Ottawa just had a swap like that, the Marlies could too.

Liljegren's upside and being RHD is all tantalizing but Sandin's quiet yet effective game may be what the doctor ordered.

Those of you who have gone to games this year, how are the crowds? I'd assume less than last year. Should finally have the time to go to a game or two.

Gordeev looks like he had a decent night, an assist and +/- of 0 in a 7-2 loss. Hollowell added a goal in the same game.

The Marlies should make the necessary changes to make a run once again because next year is going to see more growing pains.

The forward core should be similar; but the could potentially be working in: Gordeev, Lindgren, Hollowell and Durzi as rookies on defense and a rookie goalie tandem of Scott and Woll.

Need to draft some high upside centres in the next few drafts. We have no one coming up that can slot into the leafs except for maybe Brooks.
Very poor centre depth on the marlies with a bunch of ahl vets.
