Just one year left on the contract, mind, so in that sense it's not a total disaster. Yes, he is overpaid for what seems like mediocre production, but won't be that way for too long.
It seems like 1 for 1 by initial reports which makes little sense, unless there is either something we don't know or this is a prelude for a larger deal. Johansson doesn't seem to fill our needs, really, but he is a smart forward and (on paper) fits well into our core. Still, it is a bit of a headscratcher as of right now, especially given their contracts.
