That was a really nice play, and it's obvious Marchand meant it (sometimes a "great pass" doesn't look entirely intentional!).

Having said that, I would only nominate a backhand saucer pass to be pass of the year. Nothing else can win. ;)

Sorry to shit on it but every time I see a wonderful play like this from him I can't help but ask: why does he have to do the other stuff? Because, he really doesn't need to. But he does. But he doesn't need to and on and on.
