- Avs have a leagues worst goals against per game, and the 2nd worst goals for per game. The Avalanche also have very weak special teams.
- If the team keeps their game together, we should have no issues.
- Antoine Bibeau is confirmed to be making his first NHL start tonight, so that should be interesting.
- With Marincin out, Connor Carrick will likely draw back in
- Josh Leivo could also be making his season debut tonight

Expected Leafs Lines
James van Riemsdyk - Tyler Bozak - Mitch Marner
Leo Komarov - Nazem Kadri - Connor Brown(Leivo?)
Zach Hyman - Auston Matthews - William Nylander
Matt Martin - Ben Smith - Nikita Soshnikov(Leivo?)

Morgan Rielly - Nikita Zaitsev
Jake Gardiner - Connor Carrick
Matt Hunwick - Roman Polak

Do we face a wounded animal or one that's out to pasture?
Either way let's win and start a streak!

Honestly expecting a redemption game from Colorado tonight. I could see them coming out hard and taking the game to us early

Not sure what to expect tonight, obviously it's easy to say they'll be looking to prove a point or whatever, but being a back to back might work in our favor. I can't imagine how physically and mentally draining it must be to get humiliated in such a manner, then to have to go again with no rest...

I wish I had cable.., so-o-o-o bad.., just for tonight..

I never realized something else, until I just reviewed his stats again, right now.. I knew he already had three shut-outs in his first 13 games.., but get this.. He had three shut-outs, in just his first eight regular season games.... and add that to the shut-out in their final match-up, in the Calder Cup 2016 playoffs... :) (The second s/o this season was 37 shots, too...)

I had always thought that Levio would be good with Kadri.

Kadri hasn't really had anyone with a good shot on his wing in as long as I can remember.

That is crazy!!
I hope to high heaven he finds consistency. We would have a good piece in him if he does.

I still think he needs the rest of this season and maybe part of the next in the Marlies,
to keep him playing regularly and improving, but he might just really surprise a lot of people tonight,
because he seems very mentally prepared (or at least he was in this interview)
for this opportunity to show what he can do..

Absolutely! He needs to be with the Marlies 100% for at least this season and a good chunk of next. I just want him to have have a solid first cup of coffee.

My feelings exactly.., which is why I wanted to see him play with a rested team, for his first game..
and I think he would have done fine last night, too.. (no offense to Andersen though, who had a great game)..

To guard against a let down today (playing a weaker opponent after beating a superior opponent the night before) Babcock starts the completely inexperienced back-up Bibeau - love the move.

The team is going to start on time tonight and fight hard and smart the whole game to give Bibeau an honest chance at winning his first start as an NHLer.
