Toronto needs young ELC players. Makes more sense to replace the first rounder with Marleau. Aves are very weak on up front.

Are you kidding me? Makar doesn't compare to the great Travis Dermott. Toronto is getting robbed in this deal.

There right side is already loaded with Barrie and Johnson. Left side is weaker with Zadorov and Girard. They add a potential top pairing lefty in Dermott and Leafs get a potential top pairing righty in Makar.

Sorry and unproven prospect doesnt get you an Elite NHL player. Would you ask Buffalo for Eichel in return? Thats just crazy talk...
Have you seen Makar play this season? He’s destroying everyone and clearly could already play in the NHL. This doesn’t even get you close to Makar let alone add Jost. This is simply putrid for Colorado.

Just saying, if you want Makar, be prepared to part with something extremely valuable. He's the best prospect in the world for a reason.
Barrie has one year left after this season. Makar's potential is much higher than Dermott's. A late 1st isn't the difference.

Add Zaitsev too! I'm sure us Avs fans will jump for joy to add such a solid package at ONLY at the cost of one of the top 3 drafted prospects outside of the NHL and a young center.........
