No, those are two of my favorite prospects, particularly Denisenko. But I think Makar is better, as do many, many others.

There right side is already loaded with Barrie and Johnson. Left side is weaker with Zadorov and Girard. They add a potential top pairing lefty in Dermott and Leafs get a potential top pairing righty in Makar.

I'm not sure you know who any of the players you've just named are.

No one trades a significant unknown commodity because the one giving them up will want the equivalent of their ceiling in return and the one who trades for them will only want to give up their floor. The team with the unknown has nothing to lose by keeping them. Those trading for, on the other hand, take a big risk.

Basically, it'll never happen.

Polak was a top 4 D this year

Realistically Dallas can't spare any of their top 3 D, but in an alternate universe where they are auctioning off all their talent over 23, Denisenko+ would have a good chance of winning the bidding war for Klingberg.

Cale Maker is a blue chip prospect, Considering how low those picks will be..that does not get the deal done. Leaf fans can get mad at me down lplaying Dermott but Maker is a blue chipper and is the best asset in the deal
