continue.

Is Stroman really Tom Gordon, or should he be, I'm not sure the little guy can be a starter for the long haul. They kept trying to pigeon hole Gordon into a starter because of his superior breaking ball, almost cost him his career, putting him in the Bullpen saved his career and he went on to a long and very successful career.

There should be a reference to Noah's arc in the thread title as per your last post

Maybe not, but while he's still holding in there as a starter, you give him every chance to stay there and give you value. If he has to go to the pen later this year or in his career, so be it, but if he gives you value you use it.

Also:

Delabar only missing name on lineup card, presumably to DL. #Bluejays

Let Stroman try to start. If it works out well, great. If not, move him to the pen.

and Gordon pitched 9 years as a starter and was alright. Not great, but not awful. Hardly would've "cost him his career" since teams do now and always have moved failed starters with good stuff to the pen.

Assuming this hasn't been reported yet:

Delabar optioned to AAA to make room for Kawasaki.

Lind and Cecil are staying on the active roster for now.

Surprising, but at the same time he had an option left and has been the weakest member of the pen over the last 3 weeks or so

Flash was actually smaller than Stroman. About 160 lbs., soaking wet, in his prime. Very slight frame, with a small lower half. Stroman is the same height, while being 25 lbs. heavier, with a noticeably thicker lower half. He has a chance to stick, at least during his prime.

Also, regarding Gordon, he had a very successful career as a starter. Nine years, from the ages of 21 to 30. The funny thing is, he never needed to have his UCL surgery until he was a full time closer for a year or two.

*Can't throw strikes this year.

Last year he made the All-Star team

He wasn't known for throwing strikes last year either, it's just that players were swinging at stuff that was outside the zone. This year they aren't swinging at his outside stuff, and when they do, they usually end up hitting it.

Getting players to swing at pitches out of the zone isn't possible over a full season if you aren't locating your fastball.
