No. At this point he’s a lost cause unfortunately as far as the NHL goes, he’s just no where near good enough.

I don’t remember seeing another prospect drop off this hard in a long time. I get he’s dealing with issues but he looked so talented as a 16 year old. He could have been a top 15 pick and now it’s looking like he’ll end up playing Jr. A somewhere.

What a shame. Hopefully everything works out for him after hockey.

He was claimed by the team that had the first pick, Gatineau.

Bathurst gets 2nd and 6th round picks back from Moncton and send them a 3rd since MacDonald was released. I guess part of the reason why they released him is in there. It's better getting a 2nd pick back than keeping him or trading him for a 5th round pick.
