This would work IF Lundy were a 20 year old emerging goalie star...not 36 on a big contract in the declining part of his career (and I'm a big Lundy supporter/fan). That trade would be asinine.

1) No, we would get a former superstar goalie in the twilight of his career that would leave us in the same spot in 3 year (unless one of the kids is ready to be a bona-fide starter)...but without the elite talent (Svech)
2) "franchise" d-man (or forward) @ 9th overall? Maybe, maybe not. Fleury and Hanifin were drafted higher, both are solid, but neither is a "franchise" player...same with Lindholm. Svech @ 2 >>>>>> #9
3) Trade is too far off to begin with for this to even put a dent in trade value
