Just because he was a high profile Leaf prospect, thats the only reason he is even brought up on the main boards

Doug wilson traded 2 2nds for polak and spaling. I'm not surprised at all. Guys seems like a really good GM (kane/thornton/burns etc), but man does he have his blind spot with depth dmen (polak, stuart's latter years etc..)

He also traded a 4th for Reimer five days later which was part of that deal and the guy he was really after.

He’d fit in on LA’s slow ass roster.
It almost feels like he was once a King before...

It would be a DW move to bring in Schenn and disappoint in a depth spot. lol

he's actually good
a late bloomer for sure but he's not as bad as leafs fans make him out to be
he'd slot in as a #5-7
both LA and SJ would not be harmed by adding him to their lineup

the Sharks have no need or room for him at the moment. if he does sign it'll be a 2-way or AHL contract at league minimum.

Luke Schenn would be a great fit in San Jose on the third pair with Brendan Dillon to bring physicality and hard nose board work. And yeah he played the last two years in Arizona and was actually moved up to the second pair a few times.

Dillon needs a puck-mover as his partner unless they want to stay in their own zone for 95% of their shifts.

Obligatory once-a-thread Pens fan hating on the Kings for no reason whatsoever post.

didnt the king run him out of town?

He was good in a depth role. Problem was when everyone got hurt he had to play on the 2nd pairing and that was lolworthy. I liked him as a limited-role #6. But we had to play him as a #3 in the first round of the playoffs and everyone knows how that ended

The last thing we need is another defensive defenseman

Vlasic, Braun, Dillon, Ryan

Burns, possibly Heed if we actually play him are the only two that are good offensively
