Neat.

Byron should have been scratched over Jones. Once Backlund gets back into game shape, he and Jooris should switch places. And then maybe Minahan and Backlund should switch, if Monahan is still struggling to score.

I would've called Byron "mini" instead of Monahan, but I guess the name-transposing is easier with the latter.

My attempt at translating the GDT.

Everybody lock your doors, get a gun, protect yourself! Detroit Red Wings is planning to sucker us into buying a lot of junk we don't need! To begin with an illustrative case, it does not merely befuddle the public and make sin seem like merely a sophisticated fashion. It does so consciously, deliberately, willfully, and methodically. I frequently wish to tell Detroit Red Wings that what it is doing is interventionism in its most lousy form. But being a generally genteel person, however, I always bite my tongue. Detroit Red Wings's loyalists are united by only two things. Want to guess what those are? They're a deep-seated sense of victimization and a burning desire to undermine liberty in the name of liberty. Aside from those two things, the members of Detroit Red Wings's coven have little in common. Surprisingly, some of them even realize that Detroit Red Wings says that the rules don't apply to it. That's its unvarying story, and it's a lie: an extremely acrimonious and morbid lie. Unfortunately, it's a lie that is accepted unquestioningly, uncritically, by Detroit Red Wings's advocates.

It should be stressed that Detroit Red Wings asserts that its hate sheets have contributed more to human knowledge than anything else in history. This presupposes a blinkered definition of knowledge that excludes the great works and enterprises of the past. Real knowledge comes from an understanding that I plan to disentangle people from the snares set by Detroit Red Wings and its lieutenants. This is a choice I have made; your choice is up to you. But let me remind you that Detroit Red Wings's larcenous cop-outs can be quite educational. By studying them, students can observe firsthand the consequences of having an organization consumed with paranoia, fear, hatred, and ignorance. Some people have said that Detroit Red Wings is opposed to free enterprise, individual liberty, trial by jury, and even such post-Westphalian notions as national sovereignty. Maybe. But I'm more inclined to believe that I fully intend to make pretentiousness unfashionable. I will spare no labor in doing this and reckon no labor lost that brings me toward this mark. Even so, Detroit Red Wings is exceedingly barbaric, querulous, brassbound, baleful, materialistic, venal, besotted, moonstruck, savage, and scurrilous. Sorry for the synathroesmus, but we must honestly exemplify the principles of honor, duty, loyalty, and courage. Does that sound extremist? Is it too intolerant for you? I'm sorry if it seems that way, but that's life.

I think I know why Detroit Red Wings is so intent on exploiting the masses. Detroit Red Wings uses such behavior as a hollow, saccharine palliative for a soul wrenched by serious internal contradictions. This explains why many innocent people are being manipulated into insulting the intelligence, interests, and life plans of whole groups of people by the most sickening display of iracund, short-sighted cant that I have ever witnessed in my entire life. In closing, it hardly need be said that the views expressed above are tentative and suggestive. You should now go off and perform a thorough study of your own. Of course, this will be an exercise in futility unless you accept the fundamental premise of this letter, namely that you and I undoubtedly have a lot more class than Detroit Red Wings.

I thought I heard that Smid will be back in the lineup for this one.

Excited to see what Ramo gives us, but at the same time I think we can expect a little rust. Ramo doesn't typically do that well in spot starts. Needs to get in a bit of a groove.

No, Smid's still out.
