It was a win then and it's a win now.
The Shattenkirk love is way overboard. We already had far too many scoring smallish PMD. We needed a physical guy who played good D and could score.

Shattenkirk is a nice player, but he is not what we needed at the time and we had similar guys in Barrie and Elliot waiting in the wings.

We now have Johnson & Siemens from that trade. Jay Mac did extremely well for us because he left.
We don't have to deal with Stewart and his BS either so that's even more of a win.

Hated it when it happened. Loved Stazz and Stewy together and loved RH PMD in Shatty. I like the trade alot better today because Johnson has a real coach for the first time since his STL days and hes thriving under Patrick. Wish STL took someone else at the time and not Shatty. Wish we couldve kepy Jay mack. Imagine McClement on our 4th line with our current lineup. Sexy. Rattie and Siemens havent played a game yet in the NHL so its still to early to say who won.

Galiardi made all of those plays. If Gali was just a little bigger he would be an excellent 2 way player/ agitator. His body won't let him though.
