Doing draft #4 on Saturday. 16 teams 10 keepers.

I would have picked a better team for an example. :sarcasm:

Who will be better for your team? Kadri, Galchenyuk, Stoll, or Antropov.

The obscure picks are what makes the draft fun.

last 2 I would say

IT's closer to 17 second average.

Lots of guys will be ready in 1-3 seconds.

BY the time it gets slow guys will have set up autopick and left.

How does the autopick work? You basically just set a ranking for every player and once it's your pick, the system will choose the highest ranking available player? Would it be possible for a team to end up with only like 5 dmen by doing that?..or it there a fail-safe for that.

I would go for the players that I know will be in the NHL for sure. So not Kadri and Galchenyuk.

But I'm new to fantasy stuff so I could be very wrong in this case

If you guys want a comparable, one of the leagues I'm in (head-to-head, with 16 teams as well) has the rules set at this:

Positions:
2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 2 UTIL, 2G, 6BN, 2IR

Scoring:
G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, GWG, W, GAA, saves, sv%

30 acquisitions max for the season (1 per week in the playoffs) with 8 teams making the playoffs.

Overall, the top league has been running for 4 or 5 years now, whereas the second highest league (promotion/relegation style) has been up for 2 or 3. Works damn well.

It is basically your list.

If you don't have one made or yours runs out it will pick from Yahoo's list.

And you don't want that. :shakehead

From what I remember they give you Highest ranked. You could end up with 10 centers and 2 Dmen. You'd have to deal with it yourself.

Better off with list. atleast you get a good player even if hes wrong position.

Uh oh....Looks like I have to learn what utility players mean now too....
It's just another slot you can put a player into. If you have 3 centres playing one night but only have two "centre" slots, you throw the third into a utility spot.

Anything could happen. Stoll and Antro atleast get TIO, but maybe NK gets traded to Vancouver and plays with the Sedins.

Crazy **** can happen. BUt safer is usually better.

How is it different from bench?

Or are utility players apart of your roster?
Think of it as a sixth skater on the ice. You have your three forwards and two defensemen... and then you have your utility guy which can be either a forward or defense.

Dion explains it best down there vvvv
