A new era begins tonight. The first ever game for 3R. The first ever home game (which is sold out). I won't be making GDTs for every game the way I do for Laval (and instead will post in the 3R thread). But seeing as this is a special night and that it will also be on TV, I decided to start a GDT for this game.

For those who don't know, the Newfoundland Growlers are the ECHL affiliate of the Leafs and Marlies.

I just subscribed to FloHockey, where the 3R games will be streamed.

And they also have NCAA games on there with the Atlantic Hockey and CCHA conferences. The only Habs prospect whose games will be on there are Henrikson with Lake Superior. But there will be some games with the more interesting Habs prospects when there are non-conference games.

On TVA Sports just now, coach Eric Belanger who just confirmed that Poulin will get the start, as was expected.

Geez that didn't take long. 15 seconds in, Growlers score to make it 1-0.

And 3R was starting to gel and get more comfortable out there.

Hillis hesitated in the defensive zone when he was alone. He then gets checked and loses possession of the puck. And from that, the Growlers were able to keep possession in the offensive zone and finally score out of it.

Not the kind of start 3R was looking for. They had a moment during the period where they started to play better. But then Growlers scored to make it 2-0 and 3R lost momentum because of that.
