He was garbage tonite
Oilers can't afford that s hit again
Out playing and losing and they did have goals tonite
Every game is so important becuz of the bad start can't afford crap form the goalie

Is that his fault he needs to be perfect the rest of the way though?

Don't talk to me about an 8-game stretch when his save % for the season is still under 900 lol

Well then don’t talk about Bouch being great now or Nurse being a beast now or McD being back. Cause they all sucked to start the season too.

Bouchard was caught back pedalling. He put on the breaks to reduce the gap. Unfortunately Stamkos, a perennial 50 goal scorer had enough space to get a quality shot on net but one that needs to be stopped.
It’s a 2 on 2.

Whenever a guy cuts into the middle in that situation there will be a break in the gap control. You can’t expect Bouchard to predict Stamkos’ move. He can only react to what he sees.

Bouchard has 0 blame in that situation.

Why it's worth investing in a high pedigree, athletic goaltender. T-Baggers hang around a game that should have been over in the second period and their elite feasted on an immobile goaltender behind the better team. First and fourth line were excellent. Looking for scramble eggs second and third line to find their support games.

Skinner is the reason we lost. The 2 Tampa goals in the third on him were ECHL type goals in a tie game. This guy did the same thing in the Vegas series. Weak soft pathetic goals at the worst times.

I've never seen him actually win a goaltending dual.

He let his his team down for the record tonight. Everyone knew it was coming as soon as the third started. He isn't a very good goaltender in pressure situations due to a lack of athleticism and ability to scramble. He corners himself and second guesses plays. Has a terrible glove hand and blocker.

The Stamkos wrister from nearly the blueline is him in a nutshell.

He did this in the playoffs and cost us the Cup.

Sure. I’ll agree with that. Does that mean he’s human garbage complete trash and an AHL goalie. Stretch the sample size and get some perspective.
Bro, this team with a Hellebuyck or Vasilevsky is a juggernaut. With Skinner they are .500 🤣

You can try to slice this any way you want. The game winning goal was a wrist shot from the blue line.
The loss is on Skinner. There’s not slicing going on that front.

But if you expected 2.6M Skinner to play perfect and play like Vasy, you set yourself up for this disappointment. My contention has always been that we should have went with a goalie carousel and keep the position flexible so we’re not in this all eggs in one basket situation. A situation created by Holland and shitty pro scouting.

Skinner is doing everything we should expect of him and more lately.

Oh brother. Calm down. No one is calling him human garbage lol.
Literally people are though. Read up.

Stamkos drove the puck straight down Broadway. He didn't cut to the middle. Bouchard sees him attacking directly with speed and backs-off; stops when Stamkos pivots inside the blue line and reaches when he shows shot. The perennial 50 goal scorer read the opening and fired one on net to beat a shaky goaltender that had just given up a bad goal. It's on Skinner.
