Nice game guys. Quick question, couldn't get a decent shot of the crowd behind the tb goal in the 1st and 3rd (the visitors end). I have a friend at the game, are any of you able to get a still of that end behind the goal? I'd greatly appreciate. Couldn't find them at all. Thought I'd at least ask in case someone can help out a SE rival? ;)

What do u expect from Ron Hainsey?

This whole game was a comedy of errors from soft goaltending to bad defense to terrible finish.

I'd suggest checking out the photos that get posted to nhl.com and the main newspapers in each city. A lot of the time they capture the crowd behind the goal, and they provide better detail than a TV still.

I remember thinking "Oh no!" when they when the two guys went off on a change on the flip clear to center ice. The two guys coming back were just scrambling to catch up to the play due to the irresponsible change, and never had a chance to sort things out.

We suck vs Tampa. I don't know why but it is what it is.

Goalies that force you to beat them up high own the Canes and their endless stuff attempts. If you think of two of the best at taking away the bottom 3rd, and the two teams that own the Canes the hardest, there's some overlap.

When you leave people open in the slot, it doesnt matter if they have 4 shots or 25.

One mistake doesn't mean the defensive effort was crap. It means that a mistake was made. The defensive effort was very, very good. They made one error and it costs them. Cam's softie was the real turning point IMHO.

Two errors, leading to two goals. I'd say the defense certainly deserves criticism tonight.

I don't know BB....1st goal was tipped twice. Sure there was J.T. Brown in the crease but I didn't see that as a defensive breakdown at all. 2nd goal, I'll give you that Callahan was way too alone, but he also had been pushed wide, bad angle, terrible softie given up by Cam. 3rd goal, Stamkos left alone, total defensive breakdown while guys got "puck focused" and lost their guy.

So yeah, it wasn't perfect, but the vast majority of the Bolts shots tonight were relatively non-dangerous. That's why I don't think you can blame this on the defensive effort. We just need one or two guys to be able to snipe a puck in the corners or lift it over the goalies pads when in close. We don't thave those guys right now or our guys just aren't doing it.

Like I said elsewhere, when the softie was let in the team did seem a little deflated even though they came back.

Rask and the defensemen (Slavin) kinda got tangled up and both went after the same guy up higher in the slot. That was the breakdown piece of it.

Stamkos was a late guy in on a PP. Should he be left all alone? No, but they were out manned so somebody's going to be uncovered. To me, it was a case of the Canes had just changed and were a bit chaotic on the PK after the change and Stamkos just came on the ice and wasn't accounted for. That happens a lot unfortunately where a guy comes late and is unaccounted for like that. Lindholm still got himself too low and Nash? was to a bit too far to the boards covering the guy with the puck where he wasn't really dangerous which left the middle too open.

Still, the defense from EVERY nhl teams have 1 or 2 (or more) moments like that every game. Sometimes it ends up in the net, sometimes it doesn't.
