Alt can do both, and they really don't need another PP guy. Coots or Read could play the point on the 2nd unit with MDZ.

Alt is OK at the AHL level, but he doesn't have the skills that Gostisbhere has to be a difference maker. Gostisbhere is elite as far as prospects are considered.

Yeah, I can't get the waiver calculator to work on CapGeek but Lauridsen/Manning finally had to clear them this year after spending pretty much 3 years in the minors & with less than 15 NHL games.
