Probably one of Matthews' worst game as a Leaf. Literally did nothing.

He took more contact this game than he has in the last 10 games combined.

That's about the only positive to take from his game tonight.

Definitely won that one because of skill rather than effort (which is fine right now until the Habs are actually good).

Also John Tavares and Mitch Marner are Toronto Maple Leafs.

I adore the notion that the Habs can ball with us, when their best center is Kotka who would be our third line center, and their best forward, Domi, would be our fifth best forward.

JT is the heart of this team. He's the guy givingit his all every night and seems to be in the middle of our big plays all the time.

Tavares should be our highest paid player, period. Not Matthews!
