With the Backstrom comparisons, I ran stats for past 5 years in the league and Nicklas Backstrom is 5th in scoring over the past five years.
Ahead of: Seguin, Getzlaf Tavares, Pavelski, Malkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, etc.
I just want to be clear that that's the benchmark guys are putting Willy up against. Over the past five years Backstrom only has 8 less points than Ovechkin... The only reason he didn't win the Calder is because he ran into Kane that year.
Once again, if you think Willy's THAT good, then fine. I think it's more a case of people not realizing just how good Backstrom is though.
