The Islanders lost against the Canes tonight 8-4, so this match is an opportunity to put 3 points between NYI and the Leafs. Florida have been poor as of late, but I wouldn't rule them out.

I am hoping the Leafs win against Florida, but I dont see them coming out of this road trip 3-0 so if I had to choose I would say lose against the Panthers (in OT if possible) but only if that guaranteed a win against Tampa.

Like someone else posted, these next 2 games are a gift from the hockey gods. Not often do you get to play a team in a downward spiral followed by a game against a playoff challenger that is severely depleted. The Leafs have to win that Tampa game. I believe that game will determine the rest of the way, a win creates a decent gap while Tampa will have trouble with injuries, but a loss would cause Tampa to leap frog Toronto and possibly catapult them with confidence for the last 15 games.

I just want a good effort. There is no excuse to come out flat. Andersen has been spectacular lately. If we can play a good road game, should be able to extend point streak/win streak.
