You're right an OT "loss" is really a tie.

If you take the league average of points at the end of the season, the winning percentage usually comes out to about .550, the "true .500"
Anyway, I thought the SO would die after a few years, is there still anybody above the age of 12 that wants to settle a game this way?

That's one way to look at it. The other is that both our underlying numbers and the eye test suggest that we have been the better team in all but one game that we've played thus far.

Things will even out and we'll see where we stand in a few weeks.
