Leafs are better off keeping Kerfoot and just playing Liljegren/Lehtonen/Dermott in that 3rd pair RD spot.

I understand why Toronto would want Miller, but does Buffalo even need Kerfoot though? I mean he's obviously better than Lazar for a 3C role, but Miller at 3.8 (if he can rebound from last year) is a really nice number for most teams... just not Toronto. They need cheaper options.

Leafs' would probably be better off just playing Kerfoot on RD than C. Miller. Wouldn't need to shelter Kerfoot as much.

You’re right. To many sheltered D already to add another. Good point.

Half the Sabres forwards seem to be heading to UFA this summer, so they're definitely filling a need here, but I could see Toronto having to include a pick to make it happen

they would not be the ones including a pick. Miller was a frequent healthy scratch on a bad team last year...
