Thia is where if the league was hip a d with it.. they would:

1. Be able to identify the fan chatter about this goal and if it went in and the uproar
2. Prepare something visually with colors.. and lines and whatnot to argue that the correct call was made
3. Release it on their social media platforms and such for the fans to see

Do this consistently and you have an interactive more fan friendly approach. That can be a good thing

Do they still do those suspension justification videos explaining the play? If they dont.. whoever decided that should be boarded.. at the very least it bridged some gaps

Some people find the playoffs more meaningful than the regular season.
Some people understand one game is a small fight, in a big battle. After tonight's win, all that panic looks foolish.

I have the complete opposite take.

The 7 games to start the season showed that nothing had really changed. They don't really care. They float around. And over an 82 game schedule their talent alone will make them high in the standings. And then that nonchalant attitude will ONCE AGAIN rear its ugly head in the playoffs.

So when the leafs were "regular season good" again by December, everyone look back at the October threads and said "See? Told you so. They of course got it back together." and I was screaming "NOOOOOO!!!!!! That's not the correct take. This team is ALWAYS 'regular season pond hockey good' but hat horrible start showed. they. haven't. changed. and we'll see it once again come playoff time."

Most leaf fans had the CORRECT response 7 games in, and they're having the correct response now.

and now.... plan the parade route because of one win??... or do people understand, one game in a seven game series, is not worth getting too excited, or too upset about?
