I am just saying - it's hard to get lectured by a team that got lucky and drafted two of the top 5 players of the last 20 years.
They came with built in desire. Both had a killer instinct at draft age.
That's not coaching magic, that's not good development, that's a once in a lifetime opportunity that they somehow hit on twice.
I can stomach having St. Louis or Boston fans compare us to them and how they are better, but coming from the Pens...you start with Crosby and Malkin, and winning 2-3 cups should be the bare minimum expectation for success.
Except we have 3 players getting paid more
So basically those 2 are worth ,because of their resume maybe 14 and 16 million respectively
The leafs ar not built right
It's obvious and the big 3 young guys may very well take the pop star image and retire at 30 with no cups
But make no mistake crosby yzerman messier trottier toews etc wore a game face
The leafs leaders have the cliches after a crappy game down pat
