We're not resigning Komarov. Also, Plekanecs is a UFA after this year, no?

Aaltonen should be playing 3rd/4th Line C.

And Andreas Johnson should get an opportunity on the TOP 6. Maybe Grundstrom gets to skip the AHL seasoning, and go directly into the leafs lineup --- only if he is REALLY GOOD in the pre-season.


Maybe Leivo gets a shot somewhere in the lineup?

Hum, you signed Carlson and Jvr and Nylander. We are so much better shape cap wise than every team we will be battling in the playoffs first and second and third and fourth round this year. Plus we can improve significantly with our cap space.

I really do not mind the look of that line up at all. Would rather Carlson and Tavares but your lineup is likely more realistic.

Aaltonen is a good fourth line center option!!

Don't see Tavares coming here..would love it but his cap hit would cripple us in the future and NYI are actually a pretty young talented team that needs to find a goalie. I also don't see Washginton letting John Carlson go in free agency. Think a realistic lineup -

I think it would be essential to get a Top 6 forward like simmonds who plays with speed and also grit which i feel we lack in our top 6. JVR is currently built like an PWF but plays very soft. Also wouldn't mind Silfverberg on Nylander line as he has ton of playoff experience as well.

I'm not saying Tavares is going to sign with the Leafs. However I will say they have a much better team now compared to when they talked with Stamkos and it gives us a better chance at Tavares.

See how the season goes by the TDL and then if a Top 3 ECF team, buy a rental or two of pending UFAs by dangling any existing asset (prospect, picks) with the exclusion of existing roster players or Liljegren. Key is to keep capspace and payroll as flexible as possible heading into the season and to upgrade if necessary at TDL for talent with minimal commitment beyond the 2018-2019 season.

I don't see Lily ready for next season. He's not even a regular this season in the AHL.

Pretty sure Grundstom and Johnsson are in. I doubt Goat is a long term Leaf.
