Toronto outplayed us, but you could tell how tired every player was tonight, especially during the second. I'm happy that Kooch was able to keep us one for just this one night. It may not be a good sign for us tomorrow, but who knows.
If anything else since it's Whalers night I hope one of our players temporarily switches their number to 19 to hear extremely low IQ Jack Edwards have coronary again.

Remember when it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Canes losing these three more in a row and the Rangers might catch them that quickly?

Well, given how they played most of the game, they really deserved to lose. But hey, get your gloat on, I guess.

Pretty frustrating game to watch, but alls well that ends well.

Don’t have a good feeling about tomorrow.

On an unrelated note, am surprised Stastny is still sitting

Toronto just is not going to win with Matt Murray. He can suck a big fat bag for the Noesen interference.

I really hope Toronto would be Carolina's ECF matchup because they are beatable

I mean compared to Boston or Tampa that’s a pretty defensible opinion. Toronto’s not a pushover but at least they aren’t a dynasty or the best regular season team in history.

Well yeah I more mean to say that I think Carolina will have a tough time against Boston or Tampa (who would have just beat Toronto and Boston).

For my money Carolina's best cup chances are NYI/Pittsburgh --> NJ --> Toronto --> anyone but Colorado but let's say Edmonton

Totally agree with that sequence. I’m not sure who I prefer between the Islanders and Pens. I would say it’s NYI, but Sorokin.

Edmonton would be on the PP the entire final. The league will bend over backwards to get McDavid a cup instead of the Canes.
