I waver back and forth between the Leafs acquiring Leetch or the eternal short lived hope I felt when they brought Gilmour back.
When they acquired Damon Severson and Blake Coleman in a seven-asset blockbuster on February 4th, 2020
I was super stoked for Owen Nolan
Those were some loaded deadlines in back to back years.
2002-03 we got Owen Nolan, Glen Wesley, Phil Housley and Doug Gilmour.
2003-04 added Leetch and Ron Francis.
I actually went to his very first Leafs game against the Islanders when he had 3 assists and was named the first star. That deadline when they got Leetch, I was literally screaming. And he didn’t disappointed, too bad for the lock out season.

Nolan did play all 7 games that year against the Flyers. Although he only had 2 assists and nothing else.Hot take, Leafs beat Philly if Nolan is healthy.

It was the next year in 2004 when he was injured and didn't at all in the playoffs when the Leafs defeated the Senators and got to the 2nd round.
To be fair I think he was playing hurt in 2003, so you might be partially right. My bad you’re right I mixed up the years.
I happened to be at Tuckers first game in Toronto. There was some clown right behind us screaming at him the entire time. "Tucker you f***ing stink" kind of stuff the entire 60. I was maybe 12 years old. What a horrible experience. Tucker bled blue and white. Also, what kind of grown man yells at some random player for 2 hours?
