Barkov is one of the reasons the special teams is crap. He’s a complete non threat in the
pp and alot of it is running through him. He’s been fine overall this year but just bit producing offense yet . It’s time to start holding him accountable. he isn’t a defensive specialist anymore and is paid like an elite producing forward. It’s evident few people here watch other superstars around the league. They look dangerous consistently. Barkov has 1 fluke goal and a bunch of secondary assists. and yes his production is absolutely on the heels of reino hot streak


reino and erod take the space given to them And are making good offensive plays consistently. Barkov has had a ton of space and just isn’t taking it. I point out in game when it happens. Everyone has their head in the sand tho. again I’m still waiting for anyone to point out a good high end offensive play he has made to create a dangerous chance.

I don't think he's completely off base. Barkov has the potential to be a much more dangerous offensive weapon than he's currently showing everyone. He's done it in the past, too.

Yeah, the middle six really needs to produce. Reinhart showing his worth. But for me, the defense has to be better. That's the one thing they have to make a routine thing. They won't reach their goals until they play really strong defense.
Offense is fleeting a lot of time. But the defense needs to be reliable if you want to win anything of significance.

He has 6 points in 5 games, that’s the only line producing and he hasn’t looked off at all. Tkachuk hasn’t scored yet, Verhaeghe has all of 2 points, the whole bottom 6 has 1 point. As I said, special teams needs to be better…but let’s shit on Barkov. It’s stupid. Period.
