Now I can die in peace
What is the latest anyone has ever heard a guy start playing competitive hockey and make an impact in the NHL?
Ed Jovanovski didn't start playing hockey until age 12 and 6 years later was considered to be the best player in the world in his age group.
Jon Cheechoo supposedly didn't start playing competitively until 15 and 3 years later was a 2nd round pick, not sure when he actually started playing.
I believe Joey Mullen also started very late in life, only playing street hockey in NY as a kid and didn't switch to ice until his late teenage years.
Any other guys to add? Possibly from this years draft?
