Maybe it isn't a thing over there? Where I live we have tons of streets named after people, with their full names. Yeah some sound weird probably but you get used to it. And in common conversation most will definitely shorten it.
Also most of those names wouldn't really be identifiable if it was just last names. "Smith Street", yep, definitely thinking about Reilly Smith.

if you've seen the Vagas documentary on Amazon Prime or are familiar with the Golden Knights as a whole, that team is most definitely deserving of the honour, they stepped up big time in the community after the concert massacre. This has nothing to do with on ice stuff.
