Speculation: Landing spot for UFA Antoine Roussel (DAL)

He’s going to Vancouver. Was a tryout and they gave him his first look at the NHL. Cap space like crazy too

He played an amazing game vs the Canucks in their final matchup. I can see him being the exact type of player Vancouver wants to add with the loss of Derrick Dorsett. I can see Vancouver paying him a premium for his intangibles. He's quick, physical, and can stand up for teammates. Seems like a great fit. Would be a welcome upgrade over Archie.

We might have a small forward group but there's plenty of grit in there. Shaw, Gallagher, Deslauriers, Carr, etc. Don't see the point in acquiring Roussel though, he doesn't bring anything we don't already have so paying him UFA money is likely just a waste of cap space.

I wasn't suggesting we get him. I was just shooting down the narrative that Bergevin has an obsession with size and grit.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Army went after him, since we might be losing Soshnikov to the KHL.

I don’t like him nor want him, but it’d be an Army move.
