he he, which league isnt second rate than outside of NHL... There is no chance in hell Kovi does not outproduce Brown. I am looking at Radulov like scoring rate or better

Radulov had 54 pts his first season back and is about 4 years younger than Kovalchuk.

Mind you he didn't have a center like Kopitar or even Carter in Montreal, but still given the age difference and time away from the league a point total in the mid 50's is a realistic floor. Like I said I wouldn't mind seeing 70 pts from Kovy but it's too hard to say how he will respond to the NHL pace. Kopitar and PP1 gives him the best chance at doing it though.

Mate,

I’m not being a sour puss, lol. The dude is 35!

Can he still be a good player? Yeah.....there’s a decent chance. Is he going to be the Ilya Kovalchuk that was here last time? I doubt it.

My props to both you and Kovy if I am wrong.

"Ilya Kovalchuk that was here last time" would command a 9-10 mln a year pricetag.
Is he a better scorer than Stamkos? Hell yeah, absolutely.
I remember him taking a mediocre NJ team on his back and driving them all the way.

Salt from ungreatful NJ fans he nearly got the holy grail for is comically funny after all those years. Every word in the post you replied to was correct.
Ungrateful? What should i be grateful for? The quitter was here for 2 full seasons, a lockout shortened year where he half assed it because he “wanted to go home” and the 20 games he played when we traded for him. Not even 3 full seasons. He never was or will be better then Stamkos. It’s not even debatable. Take your uneducated ass out of here.

Stopped reading after "quitter". No need arguing with people who live in a fantasy. You are as ignorant as it gets.

Again, the logic is just spectacular. Really good job, keep it up. I’m sure there are some people here who can be entertained by your contentless posts.

Nah it’s really not man. And that’s not even going into the whole Stamkos is a center and Kovy doesn’t play defense argument.

Love the effort, tho. Much more content here then other posters provide.

Eh, seems a little rich for someone who has been out of the league for a while and is no kid, but it'll be nice to have him back in the league again. Usually a fun player to watch.

Someone who calls Kovalchuk, who is not my favorite by any measure, a quitter is not qualifued for a facts based discussion.

It's the idiots who hype up some weird ressentiment induced narratives that make me defend even people I don't like when they are attacked for no reason and called names they never deserved.

The most hilarious part is the BH by SOME NJ fans who should be thankful for what they had in Kovalchuk of all people.

Except he is a quitter. He signed a 14 year contract and then quit on the franchise and his teammates to run off to a bigger pay day back home that turned out to not be a bigger pay day. That’s what he is. A quitter. He quit.

And I should be thankful? Of what exactly? That he graced my team with his presence? Who is this guy, some sort of god that I’m supposed to bow down to and kiss his feet for looking in my general direction? He didn’t even play 3 full seasons for the team and he didn’t win anything. Get out of here with that shit spewing from your fingertips.

You can’t count them because there are none. But please do continue to act as if you actually know. It’s quite comical.

And again what am I supposed to be thankful for? You ignored that question
If you can read, you should have noticed that I stated that I won't start a discussion with someine tgat dellusional and sunken into a fantasy world of his false narratives. It's pointless. You are not interrsted in facts. For you 2 plus 2 doesn't equal 4. What could we possibly discuss?

So what you’re saying is you have no reason for why I should be grateful he played for my team. Got it. Thanks for establishing that you literally are just spewing shit out of your mouth. And if I can read? I can certainly read better then you can spell evidently. Ready to admit you’re just trolling/baiting yet? Or do you wanted get a few more posts in before you admit to your agenda in this back and forth where you’ve contributed exactly nothing except your incredibly terrible and misguided opinion?

“You should be grateful he bothered to even play for your team!!”

“Why?”

“I’m not going to tell you why!”

That’s gold, jerry! Gold!

Absolutely no bias from me.
The prime Kovalchuk would NOT cost 6 mln per year. How much he was earning in NJ? You are an NJ fan, right? You should know better.
His cap hit in NJ was 6.6 million so I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re trying to imply.

So you are a just a bitter little girl. In the process of crying a river.

Hockey players get traded and signed as free agents you unintelligent fool. They don’t retire to get out of the massive long-term contract they signed to run home for a bigger pay day (which lol he f***ed himself cause he got less then if he stayed cause Russia’s economy is a dumpster fire).

No Russian bias my ass. Get out of here with your bullshit.
