Laine vs Svechnikov

Canes fan voting Laine. You have to. I would be ****ing thrilled if Svech puts up 40 or even 30 in his first 2 years.

The one thing I'll add is Svech has shown a preternatural puck sense in the preseason. It's preseason, so it doesn't mean ****, but still. He's dished out gorgeous passes like every time he is on the ice. Last guy I saw who could dish it like that on our team was Alex Semin. Sad face.

But I could easily see Svech doing 20G-30A this year. That's a safe floor. Point being, he will likely get more assists than Laine.
