Matthews is the best scorer in the league, 40 goals as an 18 year old... ridiculous talent.

Laine will never win a rocket, because a generational talent will be winning them all. Sorry to Jets fans, Laine born at the wrong time

Its still Ovechkin....then Stamkos even though Stamkos is a bit behind on goals this season because he keeps picking up too many assists.

Offensive stats don't become more impressive just because someone is 18/19 years old. It does increase one's potential, that's all. Does Laine have the ability to one day become the league's best straight-up goal scorer? Sure. Is he now? Absolutely not, no way.

My vote is for Kucherov

Definitely a monster on the powerplay... Can't believe some teams still give him time and space to get the shot off from the point.

And here is best goal scorers since the start of the season 2016-17 (tonight's games not included):

#/Name/GP/Goals/G/GP
1. Kucherov 89 54 0.61
2. Matthews 98 50 0.51
3. Crosby 91 49 0.54
4. Marchand 92 47 0.51
5. Tarasenko 97 46 0.47
6. Ovechkin 97 45 0.46
7. Skinner 91 44 0.48
8. Lee 95 42 0.44
9. Laine 86 42 0.49
10. Pastrnak 88 42 0.48

Laine's goal scoring high light reel is however probably on the top.
