It's a given.

The only thing I am more passionate about than Kings hockey is placing a wager here and there. I put money to work on the NYSE and gamble for pleasure on blackjack in a casino around town and on hockey online or when I’m in Vegas at the MGM sports book.

That stated, my second best returns the past two years (after the Fortune 500) has been betting the Kings to lose inside the spread. I’m up $672 (thanks Blakey!), which shows how tough it has been to get a good blackjack game going during the pandemic.

I also get the feeling that you are a backgammon ace!

Stoll wasn’t at his highest value to the team when he was point on the PP and scoring 40-50 points.

Stoll was an absolute asset to the cup teams as a hard to play against “3rd line” center scoring 20-30 points. Taking the fall for a snow day in Vegas didn’t hurt either.

Enter what is needed of danault. Kind of.
Stoll got the league to change face-off rules. lol

Yeah the old fall down on the puck and then put your hand on it to win the faceoff maneuver. The kings were killers at the dot during the glory years. Stoll, Kopi, Richards, Carter. That's how you out possession teams. Win most of the face offs. This is why Danault is going to be such a nice improvement this upcoming season. At least two centermen who can win draws consistently.

1993!!!

...and yes, I know who they beat, but 2012 and 2014 make 1993 mean a lot less.

If Canandiens fans born in 1994 don't live to see them win another Stanley Cup, I am fine with it.

There should be an asterisk next to every cup won in the six and twelve team NHL.

Cut your own throat dibbler, enjoy your deal. Do whatever you like. I could care less. Just trying to make sure you guys don't have high expectations. Apparently some of you can't handle even mild critiques of players you don't regularly watch play.

Go read my post. #584. It's what 99.9% of Kings Fans think.

I think you got bigger problems now than worry about us and Danault. Good luck with your 6.1 million dollar dilemma. Karma is a bi#ch

LOL you think I am upset about that? I just hope its what shows the GM the door. Guy was on vacation instead of doing his job. He was putting the heat on KK. Could have gotten away with it if not for Danault leaving. How is this Karma for me? All it does is reinforce the opinion that burningbin is an idiot. Another summer where he completely botched an entire position. He did it to our LD in 2017 when he lost Markov, Emelin, Beauleau and Sergechev in a single off season.

Cheer on his demise. I know I do.

Bergy has 1 year left. I don't think he cares how he leaves the team. I thought Gainey botched the club, but the lowball offers, drafting Mailloux, oftersheets takes the cake. I hope you get your wish and he gets canned but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

Why? Should we then put an asterisk next to anyone after they change playoff formats? Should they put an asterisk next to last season and this? How about all the other shortened seasons? Should we go just go to a top 8 format. If you played the same teams all season long you tend to know their play style and players a lot better. Should we put an asterisk on any team winning after goalie leather pads and butterfly technique was the norm? Should we put an asterisk on carbon stick era? Curved blades? Bring back the red line and the old style offside?

Just because you don't like the rules of the era doesn't make it any less valid. That is very small minded.

If I had my way they would use soccer rules and incentivize playing your best till season ends or get dropped down a level. No more tanking, no more getting handouts from other teams. The only reason a number of the southern states(not LA) are even around is because of the money sharing mechanism between the big producers and those that can't even pack the lower bowl. Otherwise we would likely have half a dozen or more teams fold. Would we need another asterisk for that?

You guys have been to the finals 3 times since 1967 (including those easy years you want to rule out). Habs have been 4 times since 86 Won 2 Lost 2. Not a great record but better than many. Its popular to hate on "the most championship wins" teams. Yankees, Man United, Patriots, Steelers and Cowboys(no one cares that GB has the most championships because many came before the SB) So whatever makes you feel better. I don't attach my ego to my team. Its why I am able to be critical of them and still cheer for them at the same time. Hell I hate the Bruins, I don't respect their players either. But I can say they have some talented players. Ray Bourque is one of my favourite players of all time. Hated watching the habs play against him, but man that guy was good. Best Dman I have ever seen play. Orr was before my time.

We fear he will get extended. His fans say he hasn't lost a single trade with the "possible" exception of Drouin. What they fail to grasp is what a trade means in context. Just because I traded one player for another doesn't mean it was the right move. If you are short on Dmen, trade your 2nd line RD and a 5th for a middle 6 winger did you improve your team? Sure you got a 45 point winger, but you already have 2 others and no first liner. Does that help? Not really even if that player is marginally better than the dman you traded. It doesn't fix a hole, just widens an existing one. Now lets look at his contracts- ALZNER. Never mind a lot of other bloated contracts for too much for too long.

I am not worried if they keep KK for 6.1. If he doesn't improve he can walk or be signed for 5.1 in arbitration next season. Its not like Drouin is earning his 5.5 million or the fact injury prone gally is just starting his 6.5 million 6 year contract. Or andersons 5.5 million for 7 years. I love price but 10.5 million is a lot to pay a player who will never play more than 60 games a year. You have to hope you didn't handycap yourself on D to not make the playoffs or he burns himself out during regular season. Weber-old and injury prone 5 more years remain at 7.8 million. Byron a 4th liner earning 3.5 million Right now going on LTIR...So 6.1 for a just turned 21 year old seems like an OK gamble if he finally steps up this year.

Now take a look at our development under bergie. Of our draft picks, the ones we have developed is next to nil. Lehkonen, Evans(rookie at 24), Gally was a rookie when he took over the team. Romanov developed in Russia, Suzuki zero games in our system and Caulfield 2 games in the AHL. 10 years and we have moved, destroyed or under developed almost every single prospect until 2 years ago, and now we lost Bouchard in Laval. What do you think they would do with a late 1st and late 3rd. We can't develop 3rd Overalls to 2nd line status because of impatience. What hope do we have of seeing Carolinas 1st in the next 2 years at even 19 years old? MAYBE by some miracle he moves both picks for Dvorak- a mid 40 point center...isn't that at least what KK would become with 2 more years to grow into his lanky frame?

Bergevin has no idea about the term asset management. He trades them away after they have no value or pays to much on a contract for vets. If we had traded our vets last season when we were 24th, we could have gotten a lot of value for them and started an actual rebuild instead of "If you make the playoffs anything can happen"*- M Bergevin

*as long as covid19 shortens the seasons or gives price a 4 month break despite being 24th and 18th in the league!

So apparently this has turned into the "Candiens fans bitch about whatever" thread? Cool.
Sorry. I got quoted and came back to respond.

I would ask how many season you think DD has left. Was his D game still strong IQ wise or have his legs slowed down to the point its hindering more than his offensive game. I didn't see many king games these last 2 years. Stat wise he looked good, but am I missing something from the eye test.

How many edits did you need. All you do is jock ride bergevin, no matter what he does. You are a deranged sycophants that runs around chasing down my posts like a child. Grow up dude. Is Danault your kid or something.

I got called a troll because you guys had been in here rampaging for a while. I didn't read all the pages before. Which I apologized for, something you should try once in a while.
I came here to give another version of the player Danault. In my opinion I told the truth, that's it. Sorry if I wrote the hahaha, that was spontaneous. To calling me a deranged sycophant is an insult and it doesn't help any debate. I leave to the LAK fans what to think about this. I suggest you should cool down before posting and instead quote me and write why you disagree.

So when I mention the Habs board is toxic, this is a sample. Ok I'm sarcastic from time to time but I avoid insults. Anyway, have a nice evening LA fans and I truly beleive you will like Danault. But don't think he's a real offensive player, he's not but he will help your team a lot.

Your mods should kick us out of here. We have no utility bringing here our internal fights. I guess you are entertained but toxicity is not good long term.

Nah, you want us to be entertained, you stop doing this...
