Damn. Even though it’s the right move for both parties I’m not going to lie, this hurts. Having Kuznetsov and Backstrom unceremoniously end their seasons/careers in Washington the same season is a tough pill to swallow. So if he refuses to report to Hershey, do they angle to get out of his contract that way? I'm 50/50 on whether he'd actually show up to play in Hershey or not.

He could probably just bolt back to Russia and make some okayish money their.
