Kuznetsov is the definition of high-risk/high-upside. He was a complete and utter trainwreck for a couple of seasons and I don't know if I personally would've had the balls to make that trade, but the Canes did, and it looks like it was a good idea, at least so far.

At 50% salary, the risk wasn't as bad

It's cool to see Kuznetsov doing well so far. I bet having a buddy like Orlov helps him feel comfortable on a new team trying to bring that spark back.
