To my mind, the team's season sort of hinges on how they do in the next stretch of 10 games. These are all playoff/bubble teams that a "serious" team should at least hang with, so the team's ability to win some of these will say a lot.

Devils have lost 4 of their last 5 and are 3-6-1 in their last 10.

Put me down as not realizing the Devils' defense corp was so injured that Bahl-Nemec was their top pairing. That's rough.

I think you’re bang on. The Kraken had that nice streak, but afterwards consigned it to the .500 record of death that sees a team just miss the playoffs and end up with a middling draft pick.
They HAVE TO play with some urgency and fire if they want to be playing in May.
