Pretty sure he has more d zone starts than both Couts and Barkov so

The reason why his deployment numbers look different this season is that for about half of his games opposing coaches have been able to just focus on Kopitar's line with Carter out.

He does.

Kopitar is the best possession forward in the league when adjusted for quality of competition and d zone starts. And it’s not close. The only player who was close was prime Toews circa 2013.
