I'm not saying that they are similar players. Like I said, the biggest reason to move Boeser is that he's not worth what it takes to re-sign him. The solution isn't to trade him for a player who isn't worth his contract. Obviously if the Flyers add enough to the deal then it's a different discussion and I do think the Flyers need to add here.
Like I said, I like Konecny, but he was on pace for 18 goals last season and 16 goals this season. In fact, since the playin/bubble playoffs he has had trouble scoring goals. He does bring speed on the wing but he's hardly a consistent "in your face" force out there, at least not in the past two seasons. Sure you want to be able to hit a team in waves and we have Garland, Hoglander, and Podkolzin who can drive play, but Boeser brings a dimension that these guys (unless Pods continues to blossom into a high end scorer) and Konecny do not.
