well that game was alot closer than the score. LA outplayed us in the 2nd. glad we pulled it off. i think we still need players like coyle , haula , granlund & pommer to step it up for this team to be a cup contender.

I agree. Hopefully Coyle repeats his playoff performance from last year prior to his shoulder injuries. I think Granlund has guts, for all I criticize him. He'll do his best. Pominville worries me. He plays small when the going gets heavy.

I've resigned myself to Haula being a fourth line/PK defensive specialist for this year. Disappointing, for what he flashed last year, but I can live with it. He still has value

Granlund usually raises his game for the big games usually, let's hope he continues that.

haula can be the 4th line PK spesialist, you need players like him if you want to win a playoff series, depth is everything.

Back in the Rolston days, the Wild had to kill off 5 minutes of PP time sure to a major, with a significant portion (2 minutes) of a 5 on 3 and did it successfully...THAT was the most insane I've ever seen the X get for a successful kill!

I remember this. Pretty sure it was against Nashville too!

Yes it was against Nashville...I can't find the video of it though, but we also scored within a minute of killing it...the building was jumping like it hadn't done since the 03 playoffs after the kill, yet it some how was able to get louder still!

This was before Backstrom...I remember Manny was in net at the time...

If it was during the Rolston years and before Backstrom it had to be in the 05-06 season. If it was against Nashville at home then we're down to 2 games, Roloson started one, so This is the game, most likely. - has a 5 on 3 and we scored shortly after.

When backs could play

Indeed. It's funny to think and there are some similarities in Backs' and Dubnyk's stories. Both were experienced goalies but still wild cars in the NHL. Both took the job over and never looked back. And both hopefully brought their teams to the playoffs.

Although Dubs' numbers have been even more impressive. And his story is still unfinished.

NHL vault only has full seasons back to 07-08 season :|

There used to be a youtube video just titled "The Kill" of the full kill plus the goal, but it appears that's no longer there either. :(

Too much time has passed, and our team's history isn't significant enough to keep available yet...

Man, watching that was like...ok I don't know who 34 is..oh yeah, Alex Henry...who was 28 again? Oh yeah...17 was Kuba...11 was the massively underappreciated Dupuis...

Schooling myself on that old roster...

Back when beers were an overpriced $6, which we all wish that price was back now...

Those Preds sweaters were a crime against humanity. Thank god they finally got their **** together and made a set of, y'know, hockey jerseys a few years ago.

Two very ugly sweaters in that game. Always hated the green ones the Wild used to have.

Those jerseys are one of the reasons I became a Wild fan. I know, it could do with a different kind of piping and such, but man do I ever wish we had modernized versions of those beauties. Switch the 3rd jersey red with the white wordmark or something, just let us have green homes with the Wild logo.
