Nashville is finally down to business. Spanking the Nucks. Slow and steady with Queen Hughes in the box.

"The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."
- Mark Twain misquote, May 1897 and Evander Kane, Sunday, April 21, 2024

A lot of shovelling dirt (& more pungent substances) on Evander Kane's character and age decline of a valuable playoff skill and hard game going into the second season. Very glad to see Evander take in the doubt and channel it to be a valuable contributor against a heavy first round opponent. Worked his way to Line 2 with his engaged, heavy and largely disciplined game. He showed up and delivered.

Lots of great team and individual play to help roll the Kings in 5. Like some, Kane elevated his game and contribution to help win when the game changes to harder competition, less ice, and heavy game.

We'll see if Holloway can come up big and develop into some sort of difference maker. Or Connor Brown steps up big time. Maybe McLeod... maybe all three.

It's frustrating Kane didn't get the LTIR treatment, it doesn't seem that difficult of a road to take "rules wise".

The thing that bothers me the most is Canadian NHL media, our own media, universally gives Vegas a pass but if the Oil tried to pick up an extra significant piece by placing Kane on LTIR, that same media would be jumping on the neck of a Canadian market ferociously.

And we have ample evidence of the Canadian media doing just that with the Pronger situation and the decade of darkness.

Many Edmontonians still have a negative outlook of their own city because of the motherf***ers in the media. All that bullshit was a creation of the motherf***ing media. Bettman's media.
The legacy media is not a friend to the west.

Kane was on the Pat McAfee show (very popular US show) earlier today. They talk a lot about hockey Edmonton and about Canadian geography after the interview. Very entertaining. Timestamped.
